Extends Hawaii family leave to include care for employees' grandchildren with a serious health condition.

Adds definition of "sibling" to include biological, adopted, foster, and step-siblings of an employee.

Maintains existing four-week annual family leave entitlement for employees to use upon birth/adoption of a child or to care for a child, spouse, reciprocal beneficiary, sibling, grandchild, or parent with serious health condition.

Requires health care provider certification when leave is taken to care for a grandchild with a serious health condition.

Effective date: July 1, 2020.
