Requires the office of planning to conduct a land use study for Hauula, Oahu that evaluates the viability and cost of maintaining the transit corridor threatened by coastal erosion.

Study must assess mid- and long-term adaptation strategies for the corridor, including accommodating, protecting, and if necessary, relocating it.

Appropriates $250,000 from general revenues for fiscal year 2020-2021 to the office of planning to conduct the land use study.

Acknowledges coastal erosion and climate change as threats to state highway infrastructure, with the Hauula coastal highway segments identified as most critical.

Effective date is July 1, 2050.
