Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 707-711 to add a new subsection (m) to the assault in the second degree statute.

Makes it assault in the second degree to intentionally or knowingly cause bodily injury to a person who is 60 years of age or older.

Adds elderly victims to the list of protected categories that already include correctional workers, educational workers, emergency medical services providers, firefighters, health care facility workers, and others.

Takes effect upon approval.
