Establishes a workforce readiness program within the Department of Education to be administered by the adult and community education program.

Requires the department to designate schools, including adult and community schools, to participate in the program and provide students opportunities to earn associate degrees, workforce development diplomas, pre-apprenticeship certificates, and industry-recognized certificates.

Authorizes the department to coordinate with the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and the Department of Human Services Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, and to contract with local industry employers to develop and implement the program.

Appropriates $100,000 from general revenues for fiscal year 2020-2021 for development and implementation of the workforce readiness program.

Effective date: July 1, 2020.
