HB 2678 Summary

• Requires state and county officers or employees convicted of a felony committed during their official duties to forfeit all compensation, vacation leave, sick leave, and Chapter 88 membership service credits accrued from the date the felony offense was committed through the end of employment.

• Protects compensation and benefits that were accrued prior to the date the felony was committed.

• Does not affect rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that occurred before the Act's effective date.

• Takes effect on January 1, 2050.
