• Requires members of planned community associations (HRS 421J) and unit owners in condominiums (HRS 514B) to register units leased as transient accommodations with their associations within 30 days of first advertising the unit.

• Mandates annual written reports to associations by December 31 each year containing member/owner name, tax registration number, physical address, tax map key, months available for lease, specific lease dates, and anticipated future lease months.

• Requires associations to submit compiled reports to county planning departments and the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT), with reports available to all members/unit owners at no cost within 30 days.

• Requires DBEDT to compile association reports and submit an annual report to the legislature (specific deadline date not filled in the bill text).
