H.B. 467 - Kupuna Caregivers Program

• Increases the kupuna caregivers program allocation cap from $70 per day to $350 per week for covered support services.

• Eligible services include adult day care, assisted transportation, chores, home-delivered meals, homemaker services, personal care, respite care, and transportation.

• Appropriates unspecified general revenue funds for fiscal years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 to the executive office on aging for program implementation.

• Program provides working caregivers with financial support to cover costs for services that would otherwise be performed by the caregiver for qualified kupuna (elderly relatives).

• Takes effect July 1, 2050.
