Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 707-711 to classify assault against health care security professionals as felony assault in the second degree.

Defines "health care security professionals" as individuals employed by a health care facility who have received specialized training or certification specifically designed for health care security and safety.

Adds health care security professionals to the existing list of protected workers (including correctional workers, educational workers, emergency medical services providers, and firefighters) whose assault constitutes felony assault in the second degree.

Effective July 1, 2050.
