Create a working group to explore ways to increase access to dual credit programs in Hawaii schools

Invite the Department of Education, Hawaii P-20, Jobs for the Future, and other appropriate educational organizations to participate in the working group

Address current barriers that exclude low-income families and rural students from dual credit programs due to lack of affordability and inability to travel to participating colleges

Leverage technological advances and distance learning options to make dual credit programs more inclusive and accessible to all qualified students

Transmit copies of this resolution to the Superintendent of Education, Board of Education Chairperson, Hawaii P-20, Jobs for the Future, and other educational providers
