Requests County of Maui to finance and implement upgrades to the county's R-1 (reclaimed) water delivery system to reduce reliance on injection well disposal of over 8,700,000 gallons of treated water daily.

Directs designation and upgrading of nine former plantation reservoirs for R-1 water storage: Field 140, Mahinahina, Crater, Kahoma, E-2, Makila, Kauaula, Olowalu, and Ukumehame.

Identifies environmental and public safety benefits including prevention of groundwater contamination, algae blooms, and coral reef damage, plus providing firefighters with freshwater access for emergency response.

Notes reclaimed water can be used for agricultural irrigation and landscaping instead of injection well disposal, reducing pressure on potable drinking water supplies.

Requires transmittal of resolution to Board of Land and Natural Resources Chairperson, Maui County Mayor, County Council members, and Department of Water Supply Director.
