• Requests the Department of Transportation and Kauai Department of Public Works to conduct a joint study on traffic congestion at two intersections: Kaumualii Highway and Opu Road, and Kaumualii Highway and Maluhia Road.

• Study must identify and recommend methods to alleviate traffic congestion at these intersections along the 33-mile Kaumualii Highway in Kauai County.

• Study must include a timeline and estimated costs for implementing the recommended traffic solutions.

• Requires a joint report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to be submitted to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2021 Regular Session convenes.
