Requests the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women to convene a task force to study missing and murdered Native Hawaiian women and girls.

Task force shall identify causes of the problem, current databases and data collection methods, barriers to data collection and information sharing, create partnerships to increase reporting and investigations, and recommend legislation to improve data collection and sharing.

Task force membership includes the Executive Director of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women (chair), Directors of Health and Human Services, Attorney General, Administrative Director of the Courts, County Committee chairs on status of women, and county police chiefs.

Nonvoting members include representatives from Papa Ola Lokahi, Sex Abuse Treatment Center, Hale Kipa, Residential Youth Services and Empowerment, Susannah Wesley Community Center, and Hoola Na Pua.

Task force shall submit a preliminary report no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2022 and a final report no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2023, with any proposed legislation included.
