Department of Health is requested to convene a task force to create a format for a comprehensive annual report on violence against women and identify the best policy approach to reduce such violence.

Task force membership includes the Director of Health (chair), Director of Human Services, Administrator of the Judiciary, Attorney General, prosecuting attorneys and police chiefs from each county, Executive Director of the Sex Abuse Treatment Center, Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence representative, and Hoola Na Pua representative.

Task force shall review each agency's existing databases and information on violence against women, identify data gaps, determine if law or policy updates are needed to permit data consolidation, and develop a framework for an annual report to guide program improvements.

Department of Health is requested to provide administrative support for the task force, which may invite additional organizations or agencies to participate.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2021 Regular Session convenes, with a follow-up report due no later than twenty days before the 2022 Regular Session convenes.
