Urges the Governor to implement temperature monitoring of all overseas arrivals, including U.S. citizens, at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport to prevent coronavirus entry into Hawaii.

Requests the Hawaii Department of Health and Department of Transportation expand maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of airport facilities and aircraft beyond existing federal requirements.

Directs departments to consider emergency airport closures if necessary and develop plans to increase quarantine space in anticipation of potential outbreak needs.

Transmits copies of the resolution to the Governor, state and county officials, and relevant department directors including the State Department of Health, Hawaii Tourism Authority, and Emergency Management Agency.

Acknowledges that as of March 5, 2020, there were 95,333 confirmed cases worldwide with 99 cases in the United States and 90 individuals under self-monitoring in Hawaii.
