Recognizes KAPENA, a Hawaiian music band, for their lifelong achievements and profound impact on island music over more than three decades.

Acknowledges the founding members Kelly Boy De Lima, Timo Tatofi, and Tiva Tatofi, who formed KAPENA in 1985 to enter the Brown Bags to Stardom contest representing Kaimuki High School.

Notes KAPENA's 1988 album "Kapena and More" won two Na Hoku Hanohano awards for Contemporary Hawaiian Album of the Year and Group of the Year.

Recognizes the band's 2018 album "Palena Ole" won three Na Hoku Hanohano awards for Album of the Year, Group of the Year, and Music Video of the Year after the band returned to hapa haole musical roots in the early 2000s.

Extends heartfelt aloha and best wishes for continued success to KAPENA and their expanded lineup featuring Kelly Boy and Leolani's children Kapena De Lima, Kalena De Lima, and Lilo De Lima.
