Requests the Department of Health to convene a task force to review Hawaii's food security and food safety practices, with a report due 20 days before the 2021 Regular Session.

Task force must review food imports (meat, produce, dairy) to ensure compliance with the federal Food Safety Modernization Act, including proper temperature control and handling from source to retail sale.

Task force must develop recommendations to prevent misleading labeling or advertising of imported foods that falsely represent origin as Hawaii or imply local production.

Task force composition includes the Director of Health, two Senate members, House Agriculture and Health committee chairs, one University of Hawaii agriculture professor, and two private Hawaii-based food distribution business owners.

Task force dissolves June 30, 2021; addresses concerns about imported re-pasteurized milk and the closure of Hawaii's last dairy farm (Clover Leaf Dairy) in January 2020.
