Global sea levels are projected to rise 30-34 centimeters by 2050 and 69-111 centimeters by 2100 depending on carbon emission scenarios, with Hawaii potentially experiencing over three feet of rise by 2100.

Approximately 6,500 structures and 19,800 people statewide could be exposed to chronic flooding over the next 30-70 years, with 38 miles of roadways and 550 cultural sites at risk.

Chronic flooding from sea level rise could result in an estimated $19 billion economic loss to Hawaii, affecting the state's 25,800-acre sea level rise exposure area.

Requests the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency to conduct statewide disaster preparedness outreach and education including information on community resilience, hazard mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Governor and Director of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency.
