Sets the Public Utilities Commission chairperson's salary equal to the highest pay tier of the First Deputy Attorney General of the Department of the Attorney General, effective July 1, 2050.

Sets the salary of other Public Utilities Commission commissioners equal to the lowest pay tier of the First Deputy Attorney General of the Department of the Attorney General.

Removes the previous salary structure that tied the chairperson's salary to 87% of the director of human resources development's salary and other commissioners' salaries to 95% of the chairperson's salary.

Maintains that commissioners remain exempt from civil service and collective bargaining chapters but continue to be members of the state employees' retirement system and eligible for state employee benefits.
