Authorizes the state fire council to employ an administrator, administrative assistant, and other staff without regard to civil service chapters 76 and 89.

Removes the requirement that the administrator and staff be employed on a full-time basis, providing greater flexibility in employment arrangements.

Authorizes the state fire council to contract with any county fire department to employ individuals to fulfill staff positions.

Allows the state fire council budget to include costs for office equipment and supplies in addition to staff salaries.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
