Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 342P-41 to explicitly include single-family residences in work practice standards and notification requirements for demolition and renovation of facilities containing asbestos.

Requires the Department of Health to adopt administrative rules amendments that include single-family residences in the definition of "facility" under Hawaii Administrative Rules 11-501-2, or adopt new rules establishing asbestos work practice standards and notification requirements for single-family residences.

Clarifies that the director of health's authority to establish work practice standards applies to asbestos abatement activities in single-family residences, in addition to existing dwellings and child-occupied facilities.

Takes effect upon approval.
