SB2079 Summary

• Requires state departments to submit non-general fund account reports to both the legislature and the auditor no later than twenty days before each regular session.

• Adds requirement for departments to report on the status of implementing auditor recommendations from the most recent departmental report, including detailed reasons if no action has been taken.

• Requires the auditor to compile all departmental non-general fund reports annually and assess the validity of information provided in each report.

• Requires the auditor to include in annual special and revolving funds reports an update on recommendations made within the past 5 years that have not been implemented.

• Effective July 1, 2050.
