S.B. 2224 Summary

• Director of Finance authorized to issue general obligation bonds for financing capital improvement projects at Maui Memorial Medical Center, including plans, land acquisition, design, construction, and equipment for structural improvements.

• Department of Health shall expend the appropriated funds for purposes of this Act.

• Appropriated funds cannot be released unless matched dollar-for-dollar by one or more private entities.

• Appropriation shall not lapse at end of fiscal biennium; however, any unencumbered moneys remaining as of June 30, 2022, shall lapse on that date.

• Effective date July 1, 2050.
