Establishes a dental assistant task force within the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to develop recommendations for qualification, certification requirements, and scope of practice for dental assistants in Hawaii

Task force membership includes the DCCA director (chairperson), health director, a board of dentistry member, and representatives from the Hawaii Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Hygienists' Association, and Kapiolani Community College's dental assisting program

Requires the task force to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2021 regular legislative session

Task force members serve without compensation but receive reimbursement for reasonable expenses including travel

Task force dissolves on June 30, 2021
