Amends section 350-3(a) of Hawaii Revised Statutes to extend immunity from civil and criminal liability to individuals who provide information or assistance in child abuse investigations, including medical evaluations or consultations.

Expands existing immunity protection that previously applied only to those making good faith reports of child abuse to now cover all persons who assist with investigations or legal interventions related to such reports.

Brings Hawaii state law into compliance with the Victims of Child Abuse Act Reauthorization Act of 2018 (P.L. 115-424), which amended the federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act effective January 7, 2019.

Takes effect June 30, 2020.
