Office of the Auditor shall conduct a performance and management audit of the Department of Human Services Disability Determination Branch

Audit must examine eligibility determination methods, denial rates for initial and appealed applications, causes of extended processing times, and management policies that may influence staff decisions

Audit shall specifically review whether management directives pressure staff to make determinations quickly without thorough evaluation of applications and supporting documentation

Auditor must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2020 regular session convenes

Appropriates funds from general revenues for fiscal year 2019-2020 to conduct the audit, with amount to be determined
