SB 574 Summary

• Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 657-5.5 to make child support judgments enforceable until paid in full.

• Removes the previous provision that presumed child support judgments to be paid and discharged on the child's thirty-third birthday or by the expiration of the latest period provided in Section 657-5, whichever date was later.

• Applies to all judgments for child support, including judgments for reimbursement or other arrears.

• Takes effect upon approval.
