S.B. 711 Summary

• Amends Part IV, Act 49, Session Laws of Hawaii 2017 (as amended by Act 53, Session Laws of Hawaii 2018) regarding agricultural land capital improvement projects on Oahu.

• Removes funding for land acquisition plans and deep well design work previously authorized for Kamananui, Galbraith, and Paalaa Uka lands (TMK 6-5-002-006, 6-5-002-008, 6-5-002-027, 6-5-002-028).

• Reallocates focus to plans and easement acquisition for deep wells on different Oahu parcels (TMK 6-4-003-022 and TMK 6-5-001-004, 6-5-001-014).

• Eliminates previous funding amounts of $2,350 for plans and $2,350 for land acquisition, totaling $4,700 in general obligation bond funds.

• Takes effect on July 1, 2030.
