Requires motor vehicle insurers to clearly provide consumers with a choice between using aftermarket parts or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts for body repair work at the time new or renewal motor vehicle policies are offered

Allows insureds to authorize repair providers to use like-kind and quality parts equal to or better than OEM parts if available, or to choose OEM parts instead

If an insured chooses OEM parts, the insured must pay the cost difference between OEM and aftermarket parts unless OEM parts are required by the vehicle manufacturer's warranty

Takes effect on July 1, 2050
