Requests the Department of Transportation to establish a task force to examine the use of the metric system in Hawaii, including distance and speed measurements on public signs and problems faced by tourists from metric-based countries

Task force membership consists of the Director of Transportation (chair), Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hawaii Tourism Authority, Administrator of the Quality Assurance Division of the Department of Agriculture, one Senate member, and one House member

Members may recommend additional members with relevant expertise subject to chairperson approval

Department of Transportation shall provide administrative and clerical support to the task force

Task force must submit a report with findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than 60 days before the Regular Session of 2021
