Urges the Department of Transportation and City and County of Honolulu to replace the existing crosswalk at Keoneula Boulevard and Kamakana Street with a raised crosswalk.

Notes that speeding contributes to nearly one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities nationally and nearly fifty percent of traffic fatalities in Hawaii.

Identifies speeding vehicles at the Keoneula Boulevard and Kamakana Street intersection as a danger to Ewa Beach residents.

Recognizes that raised crosswalks are an effective method of slowing traffic and would help reduce speeding on the roadway.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be sent to the State Director of Transportation, Honolulu Mayor, Director of Transportation Services, and Chair of the Honolulu City Council.
