• Requires the Office to issue preliminary inclinations for straightforward cases within two weeks where facts are not complex and legal issues have been previously decided or have similar precedent.

• Requires parties declining a preliminary inclination to provide additional documentation, written facts, or written response within 30 days; if no materially new information is provided, the preliminary inclination becomes an abbreviated final formal resolution.

• Preserves parties' existing right to appeal Office of Information Practices decisions to the court.

• Requires the Office to submit a report to the Legislature by 20 days before the 2021 Regular Session on the number of cases resolved by each method and overall impact on case load.
