Urges the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Navy to renew funding for the Kaneohe Wave Energy Test Site on Oahu, scheduled to expire in 2022

Recognizes wave energy technology's potential to support Hawaii's goal of 100 percent renewable energy by 2045 and diversify the state's renewable energy portfolio

Notes that in July 2015, the Azura wave generator at the test site became the first wave technology device to successfully supply grid power, producing 20 kilowatts of clean energy

States that Hawaii was selected as one of two Wave Energy Test Sites in the United States by the Department of Energy and Navy in 2012 through a competitive process

Requires certified copies be sent to the Secretary of Energy, Secretary of the Navy, and President of the University of Hawaii
