S.C.R. NO. 200 Summary

• Urges the Department of Agriculture to designate Kunia, Leilehua Plateau, and Poamoho as the Central Oahu Agricultural Corridor

• Requests the Department of Agriculture establish a prioritized list of agricultural infrastructure improvement projects considering estimated production increases, project costs, county plans, zoning and land use regulations, and state land use

• Requires the Department of Agriculture to submit a report containing the prioritized list, findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2021

• Recognizes Hawaii's goal to double local food production by 2030 and the need for new agricultural infrastructure including roads and water systems to support diversified farming

• Directs transmittal of a certified copy of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture
