Recess the Regular Session of 2020 for at least three days beginning May 22, 2020, in response to COVID-19 pandemic concerns and social distancing requirements.

Authorize the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives to jointly declare through signed memorandum the day and time to reconvene the 2020 Regular Session.

Reference the Governor's Eighth Supplementary Proclamation Related to COVID-19 Emergency (May 18, 2020) which maintained social distancing requirements restricting gatherings of 50 or more people.

Action taken pursuant to Article III, section 10, of the Hawaii State Constitution, which permits any legislative session to be recessed by concurrent resolution adopted by a majority of each chamber.

Transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Governor.
