HI SCR57

Urges the State of Hawaii to provide native Hawaiians with their fair share of public land trust revenue as required under the Hawaii State Constitution and the Admissions Act of 1959.

Establishes that native Hawaiians are entitled to at least 20% of public land trust revenues under Hawaii Revised Statutes section 10-13.5, which equates to at least $34,963,244 in fiscal year 2015-2016.

References the Hawaii Supreme Court's determination that the Legislature has a constitutional obligation to clarify the pro rata portion of public land trust revenues owed to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs for native Hawaiian benefit.

Notes that Congress apologized to native Hawaiians for the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii through Public Law 103-150 (November 23, 1993).

Requires certified copies be transmitted to the Governor, the Board of Trustees of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and all county Mayors.
