Acknowledges the genocide committed against Assyrians between 1915 and 1923 during the Ottoman Empire and the 1933 Seyfo genocide in Iraq, where approximately two-thirds of the Assyrian population and approximately 6,000 Assyrians were killed respectively.

Urges the governments of Turkey and Iraq to officially recognize the genocide against Assyrians and provide scholars access to historical archives and all relevant documents.

Notes that the International Association of Genocide Scholars has determined the Assyrian genocide was part of a larger campaign against Christian minorities including Armenians and Greeks, and that the European Parliament has similarly called for recognition.

Directs transmission of certified copies of the resolution to the Governor, U.S. Secretary of State, President of Turkey, President of Iraq, and the International Association of Genocide Scholars.
