S.C.R. No. 93 Summary

• Department of Labor and Industrial Relations is urged to identify job classifications where a Career and Technical Education Certificate may substitute for an Associate of Arts degree.

• Department must submit a report of findings and recommendations to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2021.

• Resolution recognizes that career and technical education programs integrate academic skills and hands-on training, creating opportunities for disabled individuals, economically disadvantaged individuals, and those who might otherwise be unemployed or underemployed.

• Certified copies of the resolution must be transmitted to the Director of Labor and Industrial Relations, Chairperson of the Board of Education, Superintendent of Education, and State Director for Career and Technical Education.
