Designates April as Tree Awareness Month in the State of Hawaii.

Recognizes trees as important tools for combating climate change, improving air quality, cooling urban areas by up to ten degrees Fahrenheit, and reducing UV-B exposure by nearly fifty percent.

Acknowledges documented health and productivity benefits including faster surgical recovery, lower blood pressure, improved student test scores and graduation rates, and better office worker performance.

Notes trees' importance to Hawaii's economy through agricultural production, property value increases, tourism appeal, and green job creation.

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Governor, Chair of Board of Land and Natural Resources, and all county Mayors.
