Department of Health requested to convene a task force to create a comprehensive annual report format addressing violence against women, including intimate partner violence, domestic violence, and sexual violence.

Task force membership includes the Director of Health (as chair), Directors of Human Services and Judiciary, Attorney General, county Prosecuting Attorneys and Chiefs of Police, Executive Director of Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and representatives from Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Hoōla Nā Pua.

Task force shall review existing databases across agencies, identify data gaps, assess laws or policies needed for data consolidation, and develop a framework for an annual report to guide programs and reduce violence against women.

Task force must submit initial findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2021 Regular Session, with a follow-up report due twenty days before the 2022 Regular Session.

Department of Health to provide administrative support for the task force.
