• Authorizes the director of transportation to directly acquire real property for roads and streets without review or approval by the board of land and natural resources.

• Amends Section 171-30 to carve out department of transportation property acquisitions from the board of land and natural resources' exclusive responsibility for state property acquisitions.

• Repeals Section 264-24 and consolidates its provisions into new statutory authority; effective July 1, 2050.
