Department of Health shall convene a task force to recommend amendments to Hawaii Revised Statutes regarding parentage laws that reflect outdated concepts of families, parenthood, and parental rights.

Task force shall include the director of health (chairperson), a representative from the attorney general's office, a family court judge, a family law attorney, and representatives from AF3IRM Hawaii, the Department of Health's sexual and gender minority working group, and Ka Aha Mahu.

Task force shall submit findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2022 regular session.

Task force shall be dissolved on June 30, 2022.

Act takes effect upon approval.
