Amends Chapter 291C, Hawaii Revised Statutes by adding a new section requiring the Department of Transportation or appropriate county agency to post depth gauge signs on public highways within special flood hazard areas that are prone to flooding.

Depth gauge signs must be posted in compliance with the Federal Highway Administration's Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, as amended.

Defines "depth gauge sign" as a flood gauge sign conforming to Federal Highway Administration standards, "public highway" consistent with HRS Section 264-1, and "special flood hazard area" as areas identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
