HB 422 Summary

• Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 329-14(g) to add Delta 8 tetrahydrocannabinol as an alternative name for Delta 6 cis or trans tetrahydrocannabinol in Schedule I controlled substances.

• Adds 15 new synthetic cannabinoids to Schedule I of controlled substances, including compounds with trade names PB-22, 5F-PB-22, AB-FUBINACA, ADB-PINACA, THJ-2201, and others.

• Maintains existing cannabinoid definitions and their salts, isomers, and salts of isomers unless specifically excepted.

• Takes effect upon approval.
