Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism shall develop a plan to ensure high-speed broadband internet access in all communities with schools receiving federal Title I education funds.

Plan development requires assistance from the Department of Education, Department of Human Services, Department of Transportation, Hawaii Public Housing Authority, and appropriate internet service providers.

Department must submit a report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2022 regular legislative session.

Act takes effect upon approval.
