Requests the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women to convene a task force to study missing and murdered Native Hawaiian women and girls

Task force to be co-chaired by the Executive Director of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women and the Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, with members from state agencies including Health, Human Services, Courts, and the Attorney General's office, plus county status of women chairs and police chiefs

Task force shall invite representatives from six organizations: Papa Ola Lokahi, Sex Abuse Treatment Center, Hale Kipa, Residential Youth Services and Empowerment, Susannah Wesley Community Center, and Hoola Na Pua

Study shall identify causes of the problem, current databases and data collection methods, barriers to data collection and information sharing, partnerships to increase reporting and investigations, and recommendations for legislation to improve data collection and sharing

Preliminary report due to Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2023 Regular Session convenes, with final report due twenty days before the 2024 Regular Session convenes
