Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism must compile a short list of Fortune 500 companies and multi-national corporations that could potentially relocate to Hawaii.

Department must identify means and incentives to attract and entice the identified companies to relocate to the State.

Department must exclude natural resource companies, non-renewable energy companies, and impracticable manufacturing companies from the short list.

Department must submit a report of findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2022.

Resolution references relocation incentives offered by other states, including tax credits, rebates, and grants ranging from $50,000 to $2,000,000 with various investment and job creation requirements.
