Requests the Department of Health conduct a study to explore options for providing better oversight over community health centers, dental clinics, and other medical service entities.

Study must include recommendations for additional authority needed by the Department of Health to adequately oversee these medical entities and an overview of how other jurisdictions provide similar oversight.

Study must address whether the Governor, Department of Health, or another entity should have authority to order closure or take control of medical service entities if they pose a threat to community health or are not providing proper medical services.

Study must include recommendations for additional staffing and support for the Department of Health to adequately oversee medical service entities.

Department of Health must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2022.
