Request the Department of Land and Natural Resources to establish a community advisory committee for Polihale State Park on Kauai to address resource protection, capacity, access, fishing, surfing, and vehicle use issues.

Committee shall engage in community-based planning to address overuse, abuse, and noncompliance with state park rules, and mitigate concerns of lineal and cultural descendants with burial sites in the park.

Committee membership shall include representatives from the Governor's office, Legislature, DLNR staff and law enforcement, Kauai County mayor's office and staff, and stakeholders representing cultural and subsistence users, recreational users, fishers, and boaters.

Request DLNR to share findings with area legislators for potential enabling legislation to implement actions identified by the advisory committee.

Direct transmittal of certified copies to the Governor, Chair of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, and Mayor of Kauai County.
