Declares the year 2022 as the Year of the Limu in Hawaii.

Recognizes limu as a crucial part of reef ecosystems, the base of the nearshore marine food chain, and a key indicator of ahupua'a health and resilience.

Acknowledges that limu was historically an important component of the Native Hawaiian diet and was used for medicinal, religious, and cultural purposes.

Notes that limu-based cultural knowledge has been lost over generations and that limu populations have experienced steep declines correlated with declining nearshore fish populations.

Requires certified copies be transmitted to the Governor, Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, and the Limu Hui Coordinator for Kuā'āina Ulu 'Auamo.
