Recognizes October 15, the birthday of Mekia Kealakai, as Royal Hawaiian Troubadours Day in Hawaii.

Honors Kealakai's role as a Native Hawaiian musician who collaborated with the C.F. Martin Guitar Company to develop the Dreadnought guitar, which became iconic in modern music.

Acknowledges the Royal Hawaiian Troubadour generation's contributions to spreading Hawaiian string band music internationally during the early 20th century and their influence on American music.

Notes Kealakai's journey from reform school youth to accomplished musician under the mentorship of Royal Hawaiian Band leader Henri Berger.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Governor, President of the Pu'uhonua Society, and Chief Executive Officer of Bishop Museum.
